GAUGE:

17 sts and 28 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch using smaller needles, after blocking / 22 sts and 22 rows = 4" [10 cm] in basketweave stitch using larger needles, after blocking 

NOTES:

Shawl is knitted top-down beginning with a garter stitch tab. Alternating panels of stockinette stitch and basketweave cable are worked on different sized needles.
